Based on the beauty in life that I have experienced, I create sculptural pieces that reflect an apprehension of the future of our collective creation. My work combines decorative traditions with microscopic landscapes. Familiarity is suggested in order to draw the viewer in to take a closer look, to become a part of the piece. Slight discomfort and humor often ensue with the unusual combination of forms. Patterns and objects found in nature inspire form, composition, and color. I aim to make sense of my world through personal rules revealed in the repetition of creating.
